Ask what the mesh is made of, whether the gutters get cleaned first, what's guaranteed and for how long, and whether the installer is fully insured. Then ask how it fixes to your roof and what you'd have to do to keep the guarantee valid. Get every answer written on the quote.

Six Questions to Take to Every Quote
- 01What's the mesh made of, and how big are the holes?Ask about the metal and the coating as well as the hole size. Ours is premium aluminium with our proprietary coating. The expanded mesh has 3 mm holes for leaves and birds, and the woven EmberGuard has 2 mm holes for finer debris and bushfire-prone areas.
- 02Will you clean the gutters first?Mesh fitted over dirty gutters traps the old debris underneath it. We clean every gutter before the mesh goes on, free of charge.

What Should Gutter Guard Be Made Of?
Look for aluminium. It's light on your gutters and doesn't rust the way steel can, which is why we use it across our range. Plastic guards cost less, but they go brittle and sag in the Queensland sun.
