Gutter Guard in Kenmore

Kenmore lies roughly ten kilometres south-west of the Brisbane CBD, on land inside a bend of the Brisbane River and drained by Moggill Creek and its tributaries. The name comes from an early homestead in the district, and the suburb stayed semi-rural until the western corridor opened up. Development from the late 1960s through the 1980s put large single-storey and split-level family homes on generous blocks, with extensive roof areas and, in most cases, decades of garden planting now grown well above the roofline.

Two local characteristics drive gutter work here. The first is water. Parts of Kenmore adjoin creek and river flood plain, and the suburb has direct experience of major flood events. That has made residents attentive to drainage generally, and roof water is the component a homeowner can genuinely control.
